Noodle Do

FERVOR was asked to help write and design an early childhood developmental game. We condensed reams of content into a game that would help parents and caregivers learn about their child. The main thrust of the games were: Learn to Play, Play to Learn, based on research that many adults don’t know how to play in constructive and brain-building ways with babies and toddlers. Tukay, our mascot for the First 2000 Days Network, infused the game with their personality. The game was divided up into the five key developmental domains that all children need to be thriving in to be prepared for school. Each domain was a station and had 10-20 game cards with activities that focused on that particular domain. A facilitator guide was created to help community volunteers run a Noodle-Do Night in their communities. Games were distributed widely to early parenting coalitions and received very positive feedback from both adults and children.
